Therapy is the process of treating various emotional and psychological symptoms through compassionate connection. It entails developing a good working relationship and an open environment for communication in order to cope with chronic problems. During your process of self-discovery, your feelings and behaviors are explored. This is not always easy, but it leads to freedom and growth. Therapy can assist you in achieving many goals, including developing a better understanding of yourself, learning skills and tools for improving confidence and self-esteem, improving relationships, developing insight and awareness, utilizing adaptive coping skills, communication skills and problem solving skills, and finding inner peace. At times this process may be cognitively and emotionally challenging, but you will have support every step of the way. Therapy requires courage, commitment, and openness.
